What an MBA can and cannot do for you

An MBA is a structured two years, a peer group, and a hiring window. That is the honest list.\n\nIt will not hand you judgement. It will not tell you what you want. Students who arrive with a question leave with an answer; students who arrive with a vacancy leave with a placement and the same vacancy.\n\n## Before you apply\n\n- Write down the decision you are trying to make.\n- Name three people whose work you would want to do in five years.\n- Ask what part of that work a classroom can actually teach.\n\nIf the answer is "very little", that is useful information and it cost you nothing.
